Provenance: It Can't Just Be a Sticker

Provenance is becoming essential for verifying the origins and history of content. While C2PA provides a solution for media, it makes two critical structural mistakes: binding records to the file and rooting trust in a central authority. This poses challenges, especially as autonomous systems require reliable action records. An effective provenance system should keep records beneath the asset and avoid central authority dependency.
