Setting Up E2E Tests with Playwright and Auth0: 5 Time-Consuming Steps

Jo4 replaced an old EC2 Terraform infrastructure with 1,637 lines of Playwright E2E tests. However, five major issues consumed more time than the tests themselves. Notably, challenges included the asynchronous writing of Auth0 tokens to localStorage and the creation of a test-only controller to bypass time-based business logic. This article discusses the solutions to these issues and the process of validating the full flow of E2E tests.
