The Wrong Number: Origin Part 19
In Origin Part 19, misconfigurations and overlaps in training data were uncovered.
The brain layer scored high due to a test leak, while a misconfigured gate silently rejected its true capabilities. This led to the identification of a need for more physics-shaped training data. A significant overlap between training and evaluation sets revealed that the model was memorizing rather than generalizing. Consequently, the actual performance was much lower than anticipated, highlighting a lack of discipline in the system's setup.
